The Bellaire Broiler features simple, all-American burgers. Nothing fancy, just
down home cooking and low, low prices. Mushrooms and chili are the most
exotic burger toppings offered with crinkle cut fries, thick gooey shakes and
fried onion rings hand dipped in a crumble crust -- the most popular sides
orders.
Bellaire residents have been coming here for decades for the flame-broiled
burgers.
Walk into this tiny, easy-to-miss spot, a onetime favorite haunt of Bellaire's
Quaid brothers (Randy and Dennis), and step back into the 1950s. It looks
more like a tavern than a malt shop; still, the burgers are excellent and the
prices laughably cheap. You'll be transported to a slower, more
neighborly Houston.
The Bellaire Broiler Burger is one of the best hamburgers you can buy
anywhere. It is an old family owned business. It is not a franchise. If you are
near the intersection of Bellaire and Bissonnet, or on Loop 610 between SH 59
and Beechnut, then stop by this old place for the best hamburger in Harris
County.
Everyone knows each other, and the same employees have been there forever.
There is nothing on the menu that isn't perfection.
Flame broiled burgers - specialty are bacon cheeseburgers. Thick onion rings
and shakes. Good place to go for a real Two-Handed Hamburger.
