For over 15 years, Eurostone Marble and Granite has been a premiere supplier and distributor of Greek and Italian natural stone. Eurostone's primary suppliers all offer state-of-the-art cutting and polishing machinery. We offer competitive pricing for both tiles and slabs.

While the majority of our marble comes from Greece, others are imported from Spain and Italy as well. The granite offered originates from locations from all around the world, (India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Spain), but is all processed in ITALY with state-of-the art Italian machinery, and experienced and knowledgeable personnel.

These materials are offered in 12x12x3/8", 16x16, 18x18, 2cm and 3cm slabs as well as cut-to-size orders.

Immediately available from our warehouse in Houston is a selection of over 1,000 marble and granite slabs as well as over 250,000 square feet of tile.

For wholesale shipments we can combine materials from 2, 3, or 4 different stones in tiles, slabs and special cut-to-size orders in one container. Direct shipments from overseas are available packed in styrofoam boxes and shipped in wooden pallets.

Shipments usually take 30-60 days to arrive depending on material, size, and quantities -- from order date to arrival in our warehouse or at any point within the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Synthetic fibers are used exclusively in machine made rugs, One of the greatest advantages of synthetic rugs is a byproduct of the fiber being non-porous. This means that it is inherently stain proof and resists soiling and staining from almost any chemical. Synthetic fiber rugs are also more affordable than a wool rug. Wool fiber is available in both machine and hand made rugs. Wool is the traditional fiber used in fine hand made Oriental rugs. Wool not only wears longer, it also keeps its good appearance and stays new-looking longer. Each wool fiber is made up of millions of "coiled springs" that stretch and give rather than break, and so wool is extremely durable. Wool rugs absorb dyes differently than synthetic rugs giving then a more authentic, antique quality.

Hand tufted area rugs resemble more expensive hand knotted rugs in intricacy of design, detail and coloring. A hand tufted rug is constructed by pushing yarns through a heavy canvas backing, then shearing the face of the rug to create a cut pile. These rugs are very heavy and extremely dense in weave, very low quality, we do not recommend these rugs.

Hooked rugs are made with wool and are woven using a hand hook, similar in shape to a crochet hook, to form a looped pile. Our hooked rugs are made on a non skid latex backing.

Abrahams Oriental Rugs and Dhurries was established in 1974 as a small Oriental Rug import company at 7101 Beechnut in Houston. The first rug store was opened in August of 1975 at 6120 Richmond, and the size was only 800sq. ft. We were mainly importing Oriental Rugs and Dhurries from India and selling to various showrooms in the Decorative Center. In 1980, we opened a trade showroom at 5120 Woodway, in the Decorative Center, which was about 2,500 sq. ft. During 1984 we moved our retail showroom from 6120 Richmond to 4003 Westheimer in the Highland Village. In 1985 we expanded our showroom at 5120 Woodway and also acquired an adjacent showroom which added 1,800 sq. ft.

In July 1991 we expanded both the Decorative Center showroom and the Highland Village showroom. We opened our rug cleaning department, and an Antique Rug restoration department at 3999 Westheimer and added several new lines of very fine rugs in traditional as well as contemporary designs. We also begun to carry Needlepoint Rugs, new Kilims, new Pakistani Persian rugs, and a large selection of Kashmir silk rugs. Thus, we now have about 7,500 sq. ft. of showroom in the Decorative Center (5120 Woodway) and 5,000 sq. ft. of showroom at 5002 Westheimer @ Post Oak Blvd. across from the "Galleria".
